Squeak E. Clean Studios creates new Experiential Division
The new venture will be led by Tom Webster.
Global creative audio network Squeak E. Clean Studios joins forces with experiential pioneer Tom Webster to create a new experience division with the ambition to help brands procreate, instead of appropriate, culture.
With a proven track record working alongside artists, choreographers, and award-winning directors, he will collaborate with brand teams to develop engaging activations that build narratives around cultural moments. As Head of Experiential, Webster will bring a highly bespoke approach to this new division, drawing from his extensive network of diverse interdisciplinary creatives and producers to put together teams curated for the unique needs of each experiential activation. The new endeavor leverages Webster’s wealth of experience and deep network of collaborators in the experiential space through Squeak E. Clean Studios’ lens as a powerhouse player in the music and sound space.
The new venture aligns with the cultural DNA of Squeak E. Clean Studios, drawing from the creativity of Grammy-nominated artists and co-founder Sam Spiegel and the company’s background for collaborating with top artists such as Doja Cat, Lizzo, Anderson.Paak and Wu-tang Clan, and marks a significant investment into the company’s continued growth beyond traditional music and sound.
"With offices worldwide including LA, New York, Chicago, Austin, Chicago, Melbourne, and Sydney, we have the U.S. and Australia covered for activations with hyper-local cultural knowledge and local production teams in each region. We are excited about partnering with Tom and his deep experience in bringing the cultural power of Squeak E. Clean Studios to the experiential market,” said Squeak E. Clean Studios CEO Hamish Macdonald.
"Squeak E. Clean Studios has built a reputation as a world-class studio, helping brands work with top artist talent. In partnering with Tom, we now want to leverage our network of collaborators into creating live experiences for brands as well as our own intellectual properties," said Sam Spiegelv, Founder and ECD, Squeak E. Clean Studios.
Webster just finished a seven-year stint as a partner at production company HELO. Prior to that, he started the standout experiential division at Mother New York. Highlights from his 30-year career include multiple award-winning projects for Target, Virgin, Nike, Coors, XBOX, Microsoft, Nissan, Vice, and Headspace.
"Sam and I met when Squeak E. Clean Studios scored the soundtrack to The Target Kaleidoscopic Spectacular. To this day, it's a standout brand experience. Our vision around creativity and culture was aligned from the start. Our combined reach within the creative community will set Squeak E. Clean Studios apart from other experiential producers. We are in the business of helping brands touch people’s souls,” notes Webster.
