Ahead of this weekend’s Texas Grand Prix, Moirai Films announce the forth campaign of SponsorX, in partnership with agency Herd of Shepherds, Smartsheet and McLaren F1 by Director Bo Platt

The SponsorX campaign is an initiative that highlights non-profits making a difference in STEM education. Smartsheet uses their platform by giving their prime spot on the McLaren Racing Formula 1 car to shine a light on remarkable non-profits and this time it is an organszation called Girlstart. Girlstart is a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and increasing young girls’ interest and engagement in STEM.

"It has been a really personally enriching experience to collaborate with the non-profits and find the best way to tell their stories" says Director Bo Platt. "When it came to Girlstart, it felt right to approach the narrative using voices of the current generation of girls in the program. I tried to approach each scene in an honest and authentic way, a simple portrait of the girl in her world. Then we just let them talk about their hopes, dreams, ambitions and their perspective on the world. And each girl brought something really special to the project. I came away very moved by each of their stories. Future generations are in good hands with girls like these."

Producer Vanessa Lanci and Executive Producer Andrew Porteous of Moirai Films make it a priority to champion and bring awareness to unique stories.  "The goal for this film was to amplify Girlstart's central message of empowering young girls, nurturing their dreams, fostering their self-belief, and instilling a sense of belonging in their natural habitat and with director Bo Platt’s compelling visuals, we believe it did just that."
