Spindle hires two new executives
London-based production studio announces two new hires in Miles Nathan and Leonie Ellis.
Joining as a new Partner and Executive Producer at Spindle, Miles Nathan has spent the last 15 years building an impeccable reputation as a producer throughout agencies of all sizes; most recently at AMV BBDO, with award-winning work for Guinness, The National Lottery and Smart Energy.
Leonie Ellis joins as Head of Creative and Brand Partnerships. She has spent the last 10 years working in similar roles within top ten commercial companies and was key in setting up and launching the full-service production company, Friends Electric. Prior to that she worked in television broadcast and advertising agencies.
“Spindle is a progressive production studio with a refreshing perspective of the industry," said Nathan. "They’re also really lovely people, and that means a lot. After spending years working with the best creatives, directors and clients in the business, Spindle feels like an incredible opportunity for me to help shape a young company from the ground up. We have some amazing talent already and my goal is to support and develop these filmmakers and continue to boost our roster with diverse, unique and brave creative voices.”
Ellis will develop the growth of creative opportunities within advertising and entertainment for Spindle’s directors, whilst managing creative partnerships and brand strategy. “I’m very excited to join Spindle on the next chapter of their development," said Ellis. "They have a strong vision and clear idea of their ambitions, which I am delighted to help realise. The team and directors are extremely talented, and I can't wait to connect the fantastic talent here to the best and increasingly diverse creative opportunities that resonate with Spindle's cultural ethos. Also, I’m looking forward to working alongside my friend Miles again."
After launching in London at the end of 2018, Spindle is already making waves within the industry, most recently with founding partner Greg Hackett’s YDA award for passion project, Tam Tam Outside the Lines. Greg said of the two new members, “We’re over the moon to welcome Miles and Leonie to the team. They both bring so much to the table, their reputations speak for themselves and their experience and values perfectly complement our vision for Spindle. It’s a huge step in the evolution of our company, and we’re all excited for what’s to come.”
