Sibling Rivalry, the independent creative agency, recently welcomed Mitch Monson as the company’s new Executive Creative Director and Burke Miles as Creative Director.

“Welcoming Mitch and Burke into Sibling Rivalry is a huge win for our team on many fronts,” Mikon van Gastel, Co-Founder, Chief Creative Officer at Sibling says. “We can’t think of better, more experienced additions to our LA team than Mitch and Burke and look forward to all the energy, creative pedigree, and leadership they’ll bring to the table.”

Mitch Monson has built a well-established career with expertise in design, branding, and experiential work for a wide variety of brands. He now joins Sibling Rivalry as their new Executive Creative Director, departing Mirada Studios where he worked as a Creative Director and Vice President of Brand Experience.

Going further back, Monson has held positions at MOCEAN, Trollback + Co, and Mrs. K. Along the way, he has worked with clients such as Disney, HBO, MTV, NBC Olympics, Searchlight Pictures and Virgin Galactic. Monson’s broadcast and commercial work has garnered numerous international design awards from PROMAX, PROMAX Arabia, New York Film Festival, Art Directors Club, and other organisations including 2 Emmys from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences [NATAS].

“We’re all very excited for Mitch to join,” Darren Foldes, Managing Director / LA Executive Producer at Sibling says. “Mitch’s background speaks for itself, along with his leadership and access to top-tier opportunities has us all buzzing. Weeks away from Sibling moving into our first LA office, Mitch will be the perfect addition helping propel our expansion in the Wild Wild West.”

Burke Miles is a Los Angeles-based designer and director. He’ll serve as a Creative Director at Sibling Rivalry after leaving his position as Creative Director at MOCEAN. Previously, Miles was a partner and Creative Director at Friends of Mine in Denver. Additionally, he has developed broadcast packages, advertising campaigns, film titles, and stage content for an extensive list of clients including Netflix, Marvel Studios, NESN, HBO, USA, and FX.
