Shine gets the Hugues De La Brosse treatment

Birth’s maestro of comedy Hugues De La Brosse has produced two hilarious films, titled Architect and Groomer, for Shine, an online banking account for professionals, alongside agency Orès.

The films reflect Hugues de la Brosse’s mastery of humour and creativity, especially when it comes to capturing the absurdity of everyday life. In these films, de la Brosse takes us into the hectic and somewhat chaotic worlds of two independent small business entrepreneurs, Both are juggling the challenges of small business daily life. 

Two quirky comedies, Architect featuring a frustrated businessman trying to figure out company expense claims, whilst battling to talk over his own printer which has seemingly taken on a life of its own, adding to our protagonists growing despair and resulting in the printer being thrown out of the window. 

Shine reassures him that this can all be easily done on line, much to his relief. The second features a dog groomer attempting to request a credit card increase only to be drowned out by a cacophony of barking dogs en masse. As she reaches breaking point, she turns to the dogs, wielding her shearers, in an attempt to quieten them down. She discovers with Shine increasing her limit is a mere simple and fast click away. Shine provides our business owners with quick and easy solutions allowing our protagonists to return to their busy lives with a renewed sense of solace and calm.

de la Brosse’ gets performances right, and this spot is a perfect example of that. Their frustration is palpable, and the reactions reaching a crescendo right when Shine customer service saves the day, is the perfect pay off.
