Boutique visual effects and design studio Shape+Light relaunches as Shepherd, and is expanding to have a bi-coastal presence with the opening of a new outpost in New York.

Shepherd is also welcoming new leadership in both its New York and Santa Monica offices, bringing an infusion of international creative chops from some of the industry’s leading VFX and design studios. Shepherd’s New York team will be led by Executive Producer Julia Paskert and Creative Director Andrew Granelli, with support from Senior Flame Artist Yoshiko Hirata. Additionally, Shepherd’s Santa Monica office has grown with the addition of Crystal Rossmann as Executive Producer, and the promotion of Emily Irvine to Creative Director.

“Top agencies and brands trust us to shepherd them through post-production, often a highly complex process, which inspired our new name,” said Cara Lehr, Managing Director, Shepherd. “We’ve already begun working in New York where clients appreciate our collaborative approach and close-knit team. The increasing demand in New York, alongside our consistent growth and success in Los Angeles, showed us that now is the perfect time for us to officially expand. We’re thrilled to have Julia and Andrew at the helm in New York, and to begin a new chapter as Shepherd.”

Shepherd’s New York office is in Soho, co-located with sister brand Cabin Editing Company. Shepherd’s growing New York team has recently delivered major global campaigns for Google, McDonald’s, Volkswagen, Ford, and WhatsApp.
