RSA Films welcomes filmmaker Kacper Larski

RSA Films welcomes award-winning director Kacper Larski to the company for commercial representation in the US.
Larski is renowned for his work in automotive and sport and a style of filmmaking which features epic visuals and gripping montage, often combining the real and surreal. Among his most recent commercial films are Garmin Fenix 8 (direct to brand), US Army Reserve Helper (DDB Chicago) and Bushmills Whiskey Follow No One (Mekanism). He’s also directed campaigns for Hyundai, Jeep, GMC, Subaru, VW, Mazda and Chevrolet.
Larski’s distinctive aesthetic emerged in one of his first projects, Land Rover 68 Years Later, which won a Cannes Young Directors Award in 2016. Two years later, he directed the Greatness is Rare campaign for BBDO Toronto and the Canadian Paralympic Committee which won Cannes Lion Gold.
“The camera and film for me have always been about the ability to live 1000 lives,” Larski said. “Stylistically, I want to transport viewers in whatever stories I’m telling, a super athlete’s runner’s high, a skier’s dream powder, a giant’s tale, even driving in space.”

Canadian Larski was only 19 when he landed his first job in advertising. He was obsessed with photography and shooting racing but needed a steady job so a rep friend in Toronto gave him a lead at an agency. To his pleasant surprise, he was hired as an art director at Ogilvy Toronto, where he worked among creative superstars Janet Kestin and Nancy Vonk and stockpiled invaluable experience at the agency and on set. At the same time, he parlayed his love of driving, motorsports and gear into writing car scripts. He eventually landed a “small” job in the director’s chair, the aforementioned award-winning “68 Years Later” for Land Rover. He’s since directed commercials around the world working with agencies including Innocean, Highdive, Doner, Leo Burnett, Grip, JWT, McClaren McCann and others.
In addition to commercials, Larski recently directed the pilot for a scripted series called GottaGuy (Rhys Coiro) about that guy everyone knew at one time or another who could get you, well … everything. He is developing another about the human relationship with racing, a docu series called Further Than Speed.
