In two new promos Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp has teamed up with Ada Bligaard Søby and Holger Karberg to explore the intricacies of human relationships as well as the rock bottom of the modelling world.

In two clips with very different tonalities, but equal amounts of desperation, the Danish directors have individually interpreted new Röyksopp tracks as the campaign for the release of the band’s second album of 2022 continues.

Søby has a background as a documentarian and has also made visually compelling music videos for the likes of Thee Oh Sees. Karberg is a Scandinavian comedy director on the rise who recently won Campaign of the Year in Denmark’s the True Award for his dry-witted spots for Tuborg Squash.

The new films, titled Frenship and Resignation, are installments number 12 and 13 in the creative partnership between Röyksopp and Scandinavian production company Bacon, which started earlier this year.

For the concept Bacon directors have gotten full creative freedom to make individual short films for every track of Röyksopp’s comeback album Profound Mysteries. And with Profound Mysteries II scheduled for a 19th August release, the collaboration continues.
