Republic Content Welcomes Director Husein Alicajic

Republic Content, announced today the signing of director Husein Alicajic to the company’s versatile roster of directorial talent. Renowned and celebrated for his commercial, feature film, and television work, Alicajic brings an international pedigree, an insatiable love for visual storytelling, and a tireless eye for detail to Republic Content.

With a deep love for film, passion for strong visuals, and a keen understanding of visual effects, Alicajic most recently helmed commercial campaigns for the likes of Starburst, Skittles, Foxtel, and Subaru.

A native of Australia, Alicajic has directed high-profile campaigns from Sydney to Shanghai and from New York to Los Angeles, where he currently resides. Alicajic has won best directing honors at New York Festival, Golden Trailer Awards, PROMAX/BDA Awards, and his work has been showcased at the VIVID Festival at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. His short film, “Beginnings,” won an SPAA award, was nominated for AFI and IF awards, and was recognized for outstanding achievement at the Rotterdam and Sydney Film Festivals.

In addition to directing, Alicajic is a talented and successful screenwriter. Divine Shadows, his debut feature film script, won an IF award for Best Unproduced Screenplay, and is currently being produced by Daria Jovicic (The Railway Man, Girl With The Pearl Earring). Alicajic was also most recently attached as a screenwriter on the official biopic of country legend Waylon Jennings.
