Rare times call for RARE action
You Are Here’s bespoke tabletop division relaunches for lockdown lift-off.
After receiving a wave of renewed interest in their table-top photography and film division during lockdown, You Are Here have decided to re-invigorate their popular macro roster.
With new signings, a new website and a complete visual rebrand, RARE’s new look builds on its track record of pushing the limits of small-scale filmmaking.
Managing director, Jeremy Goold said of the new rebrand – “We want our clients to think of RARE as a dynamic creative studio where creatives and producers can access the very best table-top talent in town and complement their specialist expertise with all the clout of a proper grown-up production company.”
With a raft of award winners now on the You Are Here main roster, they also encourage clients to utilise the option to combine live action directors with table-top ones wherever beneficial.
“To us, it’s simple,” said Goold, “with budgets being what they are, the partnership between RARE and You Are Here has the potential to afford agencies and brands huge savings of both time and money. We can work with briefs of all scales which combine live action with table-top work and create a single point of contact for optimum ease.”
This was the approach they used on the acclaimed McDonald’s Facts ad where they combined table-top expertise from Myles New & surreal live action visuals from The Fridman Sisters.
With a large portion of their roster remaining completely self-sufficient during lockdown, many of them boasting extensive home studio setups, RARE have already found themselves shooting remote projects during the quarantine period. After shooting a Müller job for VCCPwith their freshly-seasoned-duo The Edelmanns in the midst of the pandemic, the client was so satisfied with the results that they have opted to continue shooting the rest of the campaign remotely.
With the new mantra, small is beautiful, RARE looks set to breathe life back into the world of small-scale film-making at a time when it’s needed more than ever.
RARE have a roster of 10 table top directors in London and around the world.
