Psyop has signed Emmy Award-winning director Joe Sill to its live action roster.

Renowned for blending cinematic storytelling, emerging technology, and emotionally driven world-building, the filmmaker has forged a career creating expansive work grounded in authentic human experience.

"Joe brings an impressive future-forward sensibility to every stage of the filmmaking process," comments Jeff Baron, Managing Director of Live Action at Psyop. "Whether building complex visual worlds or executing highly technical shoots, he is an incredibly adaptable filmmaker who thrives across the full spectrum of production."

Co-founder of Impossible Objects, Sill's work spans live action, visual effects, virtual production, AI workflows, and immersive media, with projects for brands like Apple, Nike, NASA, Disney, Cadillac, Google, Formula 1, Blizzard Entertainment, Warner Bros. Games, and Sphere Las Vegas. Across formats, he brings a cinematic sensibility and multidisciplinary approach that merges cutting-edge craft with emotional resonance.

"Joe is a rare creative talent who combines a filmmaker's instinct with a technologist's curiosity," said Matt Hunnicutt, CEO of Psyop Media Group, the recently launched creative ecosystem built around Psyop and a growing collective of independent studios. "No matter the medium, his work is driven by imagination and a clear point of view. We're thrilled to welcome a director whose creative ambition and innovative spirit align so naturally with where Psyop is headed."

For Sill, the attraction to storytelling has always been rooted in connection. "I've always been fascinated by building worlds that feel impossible yet deeply familiar," said Sill. "The tools are evolving faster than ever, but the most important questions remain the same: What are we trying to say, and why does it matter? Psyop has built its reputation on bold ideas and exceptional craft, and I'm excited to be part of that legacy."

Sill's signing follows the recent Tribeca Festival premiere of his original audio drama, For the Sake of the Children, a science-fiction series exploring a small town's encounter with mysterious extraterrestrial beings. The project marks another milestone in Sill's multidisciplinary storytelling practice and underscores Psyop's continued commitment to filmmakers who are redefining how stories are built, told, and experienced across formats.
