What’s the best music video you’ve seen recently and why? 

Apart from the epic videos we’ve done this year, I absolutely love Pharrell featuring 21 Savage and Tyler, the Creator - Cash in Cash Out by Francois Rouseelet. 

The use of the old zoetrope, the attention to detail and impeccable CGI is totally ingenious.

What’s the first music video you remember being impressed by?

Being a 90’s kid I’ve always been a massive Nirvana fan, so watching the Smells Like Teen Spirit and Heart Shaped Box music videos are what got me into music!

This is way too hard a question so the only way I can answer this is with the one that puts the biggest smile on my face which is Primus - Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver. It’s absolute chaos and I love it.

What other directors/artists do you look to for inspiration?

Wolfgang Tillmans, Harmony Korine, David Lynch, Paul Thomas Anderson, Julia Ducournou and also got big love for Mati Diop and Rose Glass.

What are you listening to at the moment?

We did a video for Black Midi - Sugar /Tzu and I’ve had their album on repeat since. 

Another one that’s in my ears is Rose City Band, I saw them live the other night and they were incredible so I’ve been massively crushing on them again.

What’s your favourite bit of tech, whether for professional or personal use?

 I used to absolutely despise them for absolutely no reason but airpods man dunno what I would do without them!?!

What artist(s) would you most like to work with and why?

I’d love to work with Asap Rocky, Rihanna or Tyler, The Creator. They are legends, their work is banging, it would be a riot.

How do you feel the promo industry has changed since you started in it?

I’ve only been in it since October but labels sure as hell make it tough!! I love the mad rush of it though. It suits me and keeps me on my toes. 

Where do you see the music video industry being in five years’ time?

Hopefully it’ll still exist. 

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…

 I can speak fluent French. And a little more dirt… I was the kid in the video for Dubstar - No More Talk!
