Nuno Pereira joins UNIT at their new studio as VFX supervisor to lead longform and shortform creative.
Following the news that UNIT, London’s independently owned creative Post Production and VFX Studio have unveiled a bespoke new facility on Margaret Street Fitzrovia; they announce the appointment of VFX Supervisor Nuno Pereira to further elevate their high-end crafted work.
Pereira’s reputation precedes him. He is a hugely talented and well regarded VFX Supervisor who joins the expanding, new era UNIT team, with a wealth of experience, responsible for the technical and creative execution of several world class Feature Films, TV series and numerous high profile Commercials.
As a Creative Director and VFX Supervisor, Nuno has extensive on-set experience dealing with Directors, Producers, DOPs and other productions’ creative leads. He has previously held senior VFX roles over 20 years honing his craft at established VFX and post houses across the globe including The Mill, MPC and Prime Focus amongst others, working on a mix of well loved, famous projects across Commercials, TV and Feature Films.
Pereira’s extensive experience has seen him collaborate with high profile clients such as Netflix, Amazon Studios, HBO, SKY, BBC, Google, Apple, Sony, Playstation working in close collaboration to bring their projects to life with his infectious energy, vision and drive.
Some of his VFX creds include: The Rig, Avenue 5, Britannia, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, The Chronicles of Narnia; The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader and X-Men First Class.
Pereira’s most recent work includes Universal's Genie and Netflix's exclusive feature film No One Gets out Alive for which he was the main VFX Supervisor.
His work on the series BBC’s Supersized Earth and Sky’s Britannia have awarded him a RTS and a BAFTA nomination respectively.
At UNIT, Pereira will be responsible for overseeing and growing the CG / VFX department for both short-form and long-from productions. He will elevate the offering and creative output, focusing his passion to create outstanding moving image content. He will focus on the technical and creative execution of the studios longform and short-term projects. He will also further grow the artistic talent within UNIT and guide junior artists with his focus on a new generation talent pathway.
His decision to join the studio comes as part of the unveiling of the new UNIT Margaret Street home - featuring stylish designed interiors, state of the art technical facilities, and reflects the changing nature of the industry with a mix of hybrid working and responding to their client needs. The new space gives maximum flexibility, which means collaboration on every project, regardless of its size or complexity, becomes seamless.
UNIT's VFX offering ensures that the latest technologies, bespoke systems and world class talent can all be housed in spacious suites.
