Nominations for the Porsche Awards 2022 announced
The excitement is building: twelve young advertising film talents are still in with a chance of winning at the 18th Porsche Awards - For Young Talents In Advertising.
A total of 121 films from 24 countries were submitted, the jury has selected twelve of those for the shortlist. Four productions by Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg students made it onto the final selection.
The young advertising filmmakers will be there live and in person on 24 May 2022 when the coveted prizes for up-and-coming international advertising film talents are presented at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg. FABW as the organiser and Porsche AG as the main sponsor are looking forward to welcoming the filmmaking teams, numerous industry guests, the international jury of experts and the presenter Britta Poetzsch, who is Chief Creative Officer Campaign at the Hamburg marketing agency Track GmbH.
12 films have been nominated in three prize categories:
In the first entry in the Short Advertising Content category, the famous film quotation “Follow the money” is taken very literally. In the other films, characters from world-famous paintings are transported to contemporary everyday situations, and oversized burgers suddenly start landing in the desert. The question of what it really means to love yourself is also explored.
The nominated films in the category Long Advertising Content revolve around three young people who have experienced discrimination. We hear the stories of famous wrestlers from the Russian Republic of Dagestan, of young people breaking new ground as they play a game of football in a utopian country, and of the risks American children are exposed to as a result of private gun ownership.
In the third category, Driven by Dreams, one entry is about a young woman who sells her body in order to pay for her mother’s funeral. Another is about the next generation of feminist men. And two entries explore important taboo topics: the tragic consequences of female genital mutilation, and depression and anxiety disorders in young people.
