As the first blooms of 2023 started to appear, NERD Productions welcomed a new addition to their team, DeTuco, a group of passionate and creative animators with a unique talent for bringing CGI characters and worlds to life. Their vibrant and energetic spirit was palpable as they infused their enthusiasm into their work and within the NERD family.
When asked about what sets them apart, DeTuco shared that they are fascinated by designing and creating new worlds and characters, always seeking new challenges and constantly pushing the limits of their creativity. They even develop their own tools to innovate and explore unconventional approaches.
The team's love for art and appreciation of fellow creators was evident when they organised an exhibition a few years ago for talented artists, which was one of the best experiences they had as a team. It was not for economic gain, but rather for the pure love of art. They aim to repeat it this year as they always strive to give their best and leave their mark.
When asked about their favourite project to date, they unanimously spoke about Monstruosos, an idea they pitched and collaborated with Cartoon Network to bring to life. The whole team participated and contributed great ideas, making it an inspiring and creative experience. Body Armor Edge was another project that challenged them technically and aesthetically, and they thrived on that combination.
Looking ahead to 2023, the team's focus is on continuing to challenge themselves creatively and technically to offer their best quality in every project. They aim to exceed the standards of the market and enrich their techniques, tools, and explore new styles.
The team's love for animation and technology is evident in their tradition of playing video games during breaks, bonding, and exchanging ideas. They are friends, colleagues, and family, and they are DeTuco, passionate, curious, and always in constant search of their next creative challenge.
