The MullenLowe Group UK has appointed Nicky Bullard, Group Chief Creative Officer.

She now completes MullenLowe Group’s UK leadership triumvirate and will work alongside Ayesha Walawalkar, CSO and Jeremy Hine, CEO.

Staying within the IPG family, Bullard joins from MRM where for 6 years she was Chief Creative Officer UK and Chairwoman of Europe. Bullard replaces Ewan Paterson who finishes in the role at the end of the month.

Bullard will lead the Group’s integrated creative output. Her focus will be growth and creative excellence across all disciplines; Advertising, CX, CRM, Social, Purpose & Sustianability and Media. Bullard became MRM UK’s first CCO, and also the first creative woman to be named Chairwoman of a UK Marketing Agency. In 2021, she was named MRM’s first European Chair, as well as one of AdAge’s Leading Women in Europe.

A regular on international juries, Bullard has built the agency’s creative and business reputation over the last 6 years and this year was pivotal in MRM’s recent win of Campaign’s Customer Engagement Agency of the Year, and she herself was named as Agency Leader of the Year. Throughout her career, Bullard has created work, and won awards, in practically every discipline across every media.

Nicky Bullard said “I have learnt so much at the brilliant MRM over the last 6 years.  But now it is my time to focus on what stirs my soul, pure creativity, and what a place to be doing that.  MullenLowe Group offers an incredible opportunity to bring together the best of everything; with a brilliant team, an excellent client list and a boundaryless culture.  It’s so exciting.”

Jeremy Hine, MullenLowe Group CEO UK said: Nicky is someone who exudes positivity and drive with an unrivalled belief in and understanding of multi channel communications. She is ambitious and straight talking with a proven track record of winning awards and propelling companies forward. Nicky oozes a refreshingly disruptive and entrepreneurial creative spirit, her energy is infectious. She completes our team perfectly.

Kate MacNevin, Global Chairwoman and CEO, MRM, said, “Nicky is a true creative at heart and we wish her the best on her next chapter. It’s wonderful that we get to keep her in the IPG family and watch as she continues her development as a leader. We have a fantastic new team in place at MRM, led by Rikke Wichmann-Bruun, whom I am excited to work with in continuing to expand on the growth and momentum we have established at MRM UK.”

In November last year, MullenLowe Group announced that Ewan Paterson was stepping down from the role to concentrate on his family.
