MindsEye has announced the addition of Norwegian director Rikke Gregersen to its roster for UK representation.

Gregersen, known for her unique voice in contemporary Scandinavian comedy, brings a fresh and offbeat perspective to MindsEye’s creative team.

Gregersen has already made a significant impact with her two award-winning short films: Dog Eat Dog, which received the Special Jury Prize at the BAFTA Student Film Awards and a Student Academy Award, and The Affected, which was honoured as Best Short at Nordisk Panorama.

Her distinctive style, combining the absurdities of modern life with unconventional dilemmas, has captivated audiences, with her work striking an enthralling balance between cringe-worthy and hilarious. Both films star Renate Reinsve, acclaimed for her role in The Worst Person in the World, and a frequent collaborator of Gregersen.

Beyond her success in short films, Gregersen has brought her offbeat comedic sensibilities to a range of commercial clients, including Samsung, Red Cross, and Zalando. Her growing portfolio has positioned her as one of the rising stars of contemporary Scandinavian comedy.

“We are excited to work with Rikke in the UK and to support her as she continues to push creative boundaries,” said Hughie Phillips, Founder and CEO of MindsEye.

“What excites us about Rikke’s voice is how simultaneously contemporary and timeless it is. Her work is beautifully shot, with a uniquely and intentionally uncomfortable feel, but it’s also hilarious and a joy to watch. The moment I saw her work, I knew she was destined for great things, and I’m thrilled that we’ll have the chance to help her achieve them.”
