Production company MindsEye has signed director Sye Allen to its roster.
Based between Paris and London, Allen is a filmmaker as adept at crafting beautifully choreographed performances and jaw-dropping technical wizardry as he is delivering confident, comedic nuance. His versatile body of work is unified by an unmistakable aesthetic and a strong, committed sense of story.
Allen began his career in music videos, directing projects for many notable artists, including the Noisettes, Razorlight and Paloma Faith. In 2016 he entered the world of commercials, founding APOSTLE, the production arm for the UK’s oldest independent advertising agency.
He’s since directed campaigns for the likes of Pepsi Max, Vanish and WestJet, working with talent ranging from Bill Nighy to Michelle Keegan. He’s received numerous accolades for his work; his commercial for Mooncup winning a London International Award, his short film Beasts winning Gold at the International Human Rights Festival and his latest short, The Empty Chair, winning a Kinsale Shark.
