Production company Milk & Honey Films has signed James Fitzgerald for commercial representation on its international roster.

Fitzgerald is a multi-award-winning Irish director and writer, known for his work that nestles between dark drama and sharp, unexpected comedy. His storytelling lens has leaned into tonal contrasts, combining grounded human emotion with a slightly twisted sense of humour and character-driven edge. He is also pioneering new forms of AI-driven creative storytelling through his experimental platform Rex Machine.

Fitzgerald has already built a must-follow international commercial career, directing campaigns for agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, JWT and Publicis, in addition to music videos for major labels like Sony, Universal and Warner Bros.
A graduate of the National Film School of Ireland, many also know Fitzgerald for his strong festival presence, with short films including Skunky Dog, The Invisible Boy and Bad Boy Buck. At the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, he was selected for Future Frames as one of the Ten New European Filmmakers to Watch. In 2021, The Invisible Boy was long-listed for an Oscar following its win at the Galway Film Fleadh.

Fitzgerald continues to develop feature projects with the producers behind The Favourite, The Lobster and Calm with Horses, building his storytelling presence across formats.

The signing of Fitzgerald reflects Milk & Honey Films’ continued expansion into creative representation in 2026. With over 30 years as a global production leader, the company is building a world-class roster defined by signature voices, original perspectives and cutting-edge approaches to technology-driven storytelling.

Monika Soukup, Executive Producer at Milk & Honey, comments: “James brings a rare mix of cinematic craft, dark humour and emotional honesty. We’re especially excited by the new creative territory he’s exploring through AI-driven storytelling and thrilled to welcome him to the Milk & Honey roster.”

Fitzgerald is based in Dublin, Ireland and will be represented by Milk & Honey Films worldwide for commercial work.
