In Mercedes-Benz's latest spot, the GLC becomes the ultimate wingman for the perfect surprise.
The commercial opens with a woman pulling out of a downtown parking garage, asking her Mercedes to call her sister. We cut to the sister at home - surrounded by balloons and birthday decorations - who answers excitedly, asking if she is close by. With an apologetic tone, the driver insists she just can't make it this weekend.
All the while, the GLC is weaving through stunning sunset-lit mountain roads, cutting through lush foliage and winding curves, quietly making its way closer. Then - the GLC pulls into the driveway. The sister never saw it coming.
The spot closes on a voiceover that lands the moment perfectly: "The GLC goes further for the ones you love. Welcome to reconnection. Welcome home."
The spot was directed by Peter Thwaites and produced by The Corner Shop for Merkley + Partners.
