Award-winning film-maker Elliott Gonzo directed this atmospheric video for Bad Memories, a collaboration between acclaimed house-music trio Meduza, London-based music producer James Carter, American singer-songwriter Elley Duhé and Berlin-based DJ duo FAST BOY.
The film, produced by Kode Media, follows a group of Vietnamese teenagers from a shadowy nighttime city to a mist-wreathed red jungle, where they discover a vast abandoned temple.
Gonzo explains, “By reconnecting with Vietnamese folklore and mythology, the narrative culminates in the discovery of a crumbling stone dragon statue set deep within a mystic jungle. Captured using an infrared lens filter, the location is given an otherworldly feel and look.”
