International company MediaMonks takes another leap forward to further disrupt the advertising industry.

The company announces that it has hired Debora den Iseger as its first Head of Film Production in the US, based out of San Francisco. The new hire follows key business wins for the company's Bay Area office including LinkedIn, Facebook and ServiceNow and is a response to growing demand for diverse and quality film and content work, delivered at speed.

MediaMonks recently boosted female leadership across key content hubs (EMEA) with the hire of Vivian Opsteegh (ex-VIACOM and founder of Girls in Film) as General Manager of its EMEA Film and Content practice and the promotion of Maya Perez as Head of Production in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Debora den Iseger, then, will oversee all film productions coming out of the US together with Maia Liaudat (currently Circus Marketing) in the role of Head of Production, based out of Mexico City.

Den Iseger joins MediaMonks from Uber Technologies, where she co-led the global integrated production team. She kick-started her content production career in 2006 at the iconic Dutch agency KesselsKramer, one of the earliest adopters of an integrated production model, where she led productions for their Amsterdam and London offices. In 2013, Debora joined DDB Chicago as Integrated Executive Producer, leading award-winning work for clients such as Skittles, Miller Lite and Kohler.

Debora den Iseger, Head of Film Production, MediaMonks San Francisco:

Film production is the last vestige of the old way of doing things. It’s slow moving, hierarchical and if you look at almost any roster you’ll see it still lacks diversity. After my first conversation with MediaMonks it became abundantly clear they are really disrupting the industry and redesigning the landscape with diversity being one of key objectives. It was an important factor for me when deciding to take on this job while six months pregnant. There is a big opportunity to drive change in this industry, one I’m thrilled to lead moving forward.

Henry Cowling, Managing Director MediaMonks San Francisco: “Our clients have come to expect quality film storytelling at the speed of digital, but to get there we had to completely reimagine the film production process. Our philosophy is simple: we put consumers first, diversity is at the heart of our talent strategy and data underpins creative. MediaMonks combines the agile methodology of digital with the craft and white glove service of high-end film. It’s the film product the new economy has been crying out for and it’s getting crazy traction in the Bay. Deb has been instrumental in identifying this need, and we’re thrilled to have her leading our rapidly growing film practice.”

MediaMonks recently opened brand new content studios in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Los Angeles (USA). The company, with content production hubs in New Delhi (India), Mexico City (Mexico), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Hilversum (the Netherlands) offers the biggest and most diverse film director roster in the world. The unprecedented approach to film production consciously choosing for non exclusivity, unlike traditional production companies, is truly innovative in the industry and presents clients wanting more diversity and flexibility with unlimited opportunities to achieve exactly that.
