After entering the top of the charts (physical and streaming) with Per la bona gent in 2019, and becoming the only artist in history to achieve it four times in a row with albums sung in Catalan, Manel have restarted a tour interrupted by the pandemic.

Far from settling down, the band from Barcelona returned to the stage in mid-2020 with the best show of their career and took the opportunity to finish off a song that, produced by Jake Aron, is strangely loaded with meaning.

The track chronicles a date frustrated by a fever outbreak, L'amant Malalta plunges into the thoughts of a hedonistic conductor who roams the perimeter of a city and shows the most chromatics profile of a band that reinterprets the melancholy sound of the pop music of the eighties. The music video was directed by Víctor Carrey.

Since the start of 2021, Guillem Gisbert, Martí Maymó, Roger Padilla and Arnau Vallvé have not stopped hanging the sold-out sign at each of their concerts in Monòver, Terrassa, Sant Cugat, Madrid, and Valencia. In the coming weeks, they will perform in Girona, Barcelona and Lleida.
