First Round’s On Me has launched its latest ad, directed by NM Talent’s Harry Guest, showcasing a refreshing yet more traditional approach to dating. Set to captivate audiences across the states, this new campaign emphasises the importance of ditching the swipe and getting real dates.

The app, which is designed to make sure users meet in person, is inspired by a time when people met naturally instead of primarily on dating apps.

Harry Guest, Director at NM Talent says: “The app is all about cutting to the chase, so I wanted to vignette famous romance scenes from movies to show that by using the app you skip all the small talk and get right to your own movie scene! I wanted to create a range of looks for each vignette and I think with the shot choice and colour grade we did that really well, while still maintaining the tone and theme. This was all shot in one day at a green screen studio, so it shows what you can do if you prep studiously.”

The advert presents a romantic approach to dating, just like in the movies, skillfully capturing the spirit of the brand together with Guest's signature style.
