LOBO announce that Wade Shotter has signed on to the creative studio’s roster of live-action filmmakers.

Shotter's diverse background includes comic book illustration, music videos, television writing, and work as an advertising creative, giving his films an intricately detailed and emotive edge.

Known for concept-driven, playful films, Shotter's directorial style is both malleable and deeply story-led. Detail-obsessed and constantly exploring new ways to add narrative depth, he builds each frame through sound, texture, and evocative imagery. By interrogating every idea until it feels fully realized and undeniably alive, Shotter combines tactile, in-camera effects with premium craftsmanship to create films that are as distinctive as they are memorable.

Shotter is the recipient of a Cannes Gold Lion and Silver Pencil for directing the Pet Shop Boys' music video for Integral. He has also collaborated with the band Fujiya & Miyagi, directing their music videos for Ankle Injuries and Sore Thumb. He directed brand films for companies like Vodafone, Target, McDonald’s, PlayStation, Tempo, Qantas, Uber, and the powerful FENZ film Firefighters Don’t Like Fire Movies

Wade’s narrative short I Will Not Write Unless I Am Swaddled In Furs competed in Palm Springs, Edinburgh, and Aesthetica film festivals and earned multiple honors in others, including Best Short Film, Best Comedy Short, Best Adaptation, and a Gold for Direction.

Shotter remarks on signing with LOBO, “Their work is fantastic, and they represent incredible directors, but what sold me was the people, genuine, passionate, and they clearly care deeply about what they do. That's what won me over.”

LOBO Managing Director Luis Ribeiro adds, “Wade can flawlessly translate what he sees in his mind to what manifests on screen with such artistic execution and integrity. His live-action films reflect his broad experience as a multidisciplinary creative with rich environments and deep-feeling performances. We’re excited to welcome him to the LOBO roster, and we can’t wait to get started!"
