The latest campaign from email marketing startup ConvertKit and creative agency Mekanism has launched.

ConvertKit provides email marketing tools and automation to help creators grow their audience, connect with their true fans, and earn a living online.

The new campaign, titled Find Your Audience Faster, takes inspiration from cultural truths impacting creators today. In a year when we’ve had less human connection than in the past, the ways that creative people come together to share work, live shows, gallery openings, private dining events, have taken a serious hit. Creators have to extend their reach and find new ways to sustain themselves as independent businesses. According to USA Today, 64% Americans age 24+ who lost a job or had hours reduced have landed or plan to seek a side hustle, and 54% of all adults are planning a side gig as of mid-April. This campaign reminds creators that ConvertKit is here to help them pivot and reach their audiences effectively.

The two spots, produced in partnership with the Wade Brothers, feature real independent artists from Kansas City, Calvin Arsenia (musician) and Whitney Manney (fashion designer). You can see the energy of the artists flowing in the spot, similar to the energy of so many other creators across the country. 2020 hasn’t slowed them down, and with support from ConvertKit, they are still growing in many ways. 

As part of helping support creators during this time, ConvertKit also launched a $50k fund called The Creator Fund in March 2020 as a result of COVID-19. With donations from other partners they raised the Creator Fund to $185,300. 

Laura Wimer, Executive Creative Director, Mekanism said: “This year has dealt a significant cultural and economic blow to independent artists, creators, and their ability to reach their audiences. Creative energy isn’t going anywhere, though, and that resilience inspired us to tell stories about people who won’t stop pushing their craft forward. In partnership with creators  Whitney Manney, Calvin Arsenia, and ConvertKit we created a campaign about creatives building their craft at their pace in their way—then using Convertkit to find their audience faster.”
