La Pele joins CANADA
The Cannes Lion winning director joins the production company CANADA's global roster of directors.
International production company CANADA has added Spanish director Andrea Pelegrín, known professionally as La Pele, to its global roster of directors.
La Pele crafts provocative, deeply resonant narratives and breathes emotional vérité into every frame. Drawn to the vulnerable tension of intimacy and unconventional truths, her work spans commercials and music videos, defined by an unapologetic search for authenticity and a profound sensitivity to human fragility.
She began her creative trajectory in London as an advertising copywriter before moving into art direction, styling, and ultimately directing, giving her an all-encompassing cinematic touch. She recently made waves across the industry after winning four Cannes Lions for her acclaimed short film Bullet Machine.
Splitting her time between Spain and Mexico City, she has collaborated with major global agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi New York, Ogilvy, Havas, McCann, VML, and Grey, directing bold visual campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Toyota, Danone, Chevrolet, and P&G.
“The work of Andrea (La Pele) grabs your attention, through her writing and intelligence you easily journey through emotions. Being able to accompany her career from CANADA at this moment is very exciting and we can’t wait to take a director with such a clear trajectory to the next level” notes CANADA Managing Partner, Alba Barneda.
Victor Mata, MD of the Spanish office of CANADA adds: “Having worked in several distinct creative disciplines gives her a unique 360° perspective. Her ease in capturing intimate moments aligns perfectly with the CANADA’s identity. We are delighted to have her with us.”
Speaking on the signing, La Pele adds: “Being part of CANADA feels like arriving somewhere that is deeply aligned with the way I want to work, always looking for something different, pushing creativity forward and questioning what has already been done. They’ve been doing that for years, changing the rules of the industry along the way, and that spirit is something I strongly identify with. Honestly, this comes at the best possible moment for me. It feels like the right place, at the right time. It feels like reconnecting with home, with people who really get the way I see things, and where I can keep taking that further.”
