Moxie Pictures announce the signing of the directing juggernaut Kevin Thomas for exclusive UK representation.

Thomas is one of the UK's most celebrated and critically-acclaimed commercial directors. He has carved out an enviable reputation for his formidably expansive, impressively diverse and wildly mischievous body of work that encompasses emotive storytelling, peerless art direction and effortless comic timing.

He began his career as an award-winning creative at some of the most prestigious London agencies including AMV, TBWA and M&C Saatchi. The turn to directing was frankly inevitable.

Thomas has directed campaigns for global brands such as Google, Amazon, Sony, Playstation, Nike, Apple and Adidas amongst many others. His work has garnered the most respected awards in the industry including the Cannes Lions, the Emmy's, D&AD Pencils and the British Arrows. He has also been named as one of the Top Ten Commercial Directors of the Decade by shots Magazine.

Outside of advertising Thomas is prolific in the world of short film. His first short True Love (Once Removed) won best short film at Palm Springs and was also selected for Raindance and the LA Short Film Festival. His second film Sunday Roast, starring David Thewlis and Craig Roberts, garnered widespread critical-acclaim on the international festival circuit after premiering at the BFI London International Film Festival.

More recently Thomas has won further D&AD pencils and an AICP award for The Wayback, a groundbreaking VR film project designed to trigger memories and spark conversations for those living with dementia, their carers and loved ones. The interactive 360-degree films immerse the viewer in touchstone moments in history in order to create positive connections and conversations in the present. The two films, both written and directed by Thomas, are part of the permanent collection of the BFI's Film and TV Archive.

Dawn Laren, MD of Moxie Pictures, says: “I have been an admirer of Kevin’s work for as long as I can remember. His directing talents are multi-faceted; always delivering the perfect balance of wry humour, gloriously considered art direction and stunning photography. I'm over the moon that he has joined the Moxie family and can't wait to see what the future holds".

Kevin Thomas adds: “You only have to look at the list of Moxie directors to know why I have joined them. What a list. It's scary good. It's a list I'm delighted to be on. If it were someone’s grocery list, that 'someone' would be in the Harrods Food Halls. And I'm excited to work with Dawn because I've admired her for many years. She’s the icing on the cake”
