Joe Meadows has joined UNIT9 Films as Head of talent alongside MD Adam Dolman and Executive Producers Andrew Davies and Greg Hemes.

Meadows started his career at Wieden and Kennedy, getting his start in the industry at 17 via a charity course aimed at candidates studying in low-income areas hosted by Wiedens, first joining as a runner and then taking part in WK’s creative incubator programme the Kennedy’s. After leaving Wiedens, Meadows ventured into the world of production companies, holding positions at Jelly London, Independent Films and Burning Reel prior to starting at UNIT9 Films.

“'I’m over the moon to become a part of UNIT9! The team over here really are fantastic and I can't wait to see what we achieve together. I’ve adored just how much talent there is in this industry since the moment I started out, it really is what gets me out of bed and onto the tube in the morning. UNIT9 are uniquely positioned to be able to champion and support new talent, whilst also having the decades of production experience and skill to back it up. I'm really looking forward to emerging talent becoming an even more centric part of my role here. All you aspiring, hungry and up and coming directors out there... let's get a coffee."

"When we were looking for someone to join our ever-growing team, Joe was the only person we wanted. As a professional he's one of the most respected in our industry, but as a human being, he's as good as they come. And that is why he fits so perfectly into our squad. Not only will he bring an energy and passion that every business needs, he'll be the life and soul of how we continue to grow our roster offering and production service. I'm absolutely buzzing to get things kicking with him and can't wait to see where he helps to lead us in the near, and far, future." Says Andrew Davies Executive Producer.

“We're really thrilled to have Joe join us here at UNIT9 Films as our new Head of Talent. He's clearly got a great eye for emerging directors and exactly the right energy and enthusiasm to help nurture our existing roster. Everyone I spoke to about him, from production and agencies alike, only had great things to say. Likeable, approachable and switched on. We're really excited to welcome him to the team” adds Adam Dolman, MD.
