James Strong, one of the UK’s most highly regarded drama directors, joins Dark Energy.

His recent mini-series Mr Bates vs The Post Office has been described as possibly the most impactful TV drama of all time. Strong directed all four episodes and was also Executive Producer of the series.

“Mr Bates vs the Post Office seems set to be remembered as a show that changed society more than most politicians and lawyers could ever imagine.” said The Guardian.

Strong’s previous credits (as both Director and Exec Producer) include 11.22.63, Fire County, Council Of Dads, ITV’s Liar, BBC’s Vigil (Season 1), Vanity Fair, as well as iconic TV series such as Downton Abbey, Dr Who and Broadchurch.

Strong’s first commercials (for TK Maxx, Nationwide Bank and Transplant UK) were produced by Dark Energy - with the latter winning a Creative Circle Silver Award.

He re-joins Dark Energy after taking time out from Commercials to concentrate on his film and TV projects.
