Immigrant have signed Czech director Lubos Vacke to their roster in the UK, Amsterdam, Scandinavia and Brazil.

Vacke initially flexed his creative muscles as an agency art director and later creative director at agencies including Leo Burnett & Mark/BBDO, before he took the leap to directing.

He quickly established himself as a versatile storyteller with a flair for quirky and inventive visuals working with brands such as Canon, Nike, Zalando, Tesco and Snickers.

Vacke’s work has been recognised at Ciclope, Berlin Commercial Festival, UKWMAs and his local ADC awards.

Miles Nathan, UK MD says of signing Vacke: “I’ve been a huge fan of Lubos’ distinct style and sense of humour for a while, and we’re was so excited to be able to sign him here to Immigrant as we get under way in the UK. He's a lovely dude and has ideas for days. Any filmmaker that has a floating head juggling M&Ms with his tongue will always get my vote.”

Phie Hansen, EP and Partner writes: "There is no question that Lubos style is contemporary and super relevant to a lot of the work being made now, but I think he’s got a richness of imagination which brings originality into the mix. It’s forward looking. There’s a lovely vein of edgy humour which sets him apart. Great things lie ahead for him.

Vacke adds: “Do you know that feeling when you come to a new school and don't know anyone there? You don't know who you can eat your snack with, where to go for a cigarette during breaks and who is dating who? But then you meet someone who you get along with, have the same humour with and want to do the same stuff with? Yeah, it was Miles. And after I got to meet the rest of the other Immigrants it started to really smell like an exciting adventure.“
