Matt Berardi has built a body of work that resists easy categorisation, commercial, narrative, music video, experimental. All held together by a distinct comedic sensibility and an instinct for restraint.

His comedy doesn't announce itself. It lands in the timing, in what he leaves in and what he takes out. This has brought him to work alongside some of film and advertising's most singular directors, including Harmony Korine, Terrence Malick, The Malloys, Stacy Wall, Beedy, and most recently the directing duo Terri Timely. His brand work spans Nike, Marni, Kalshi, CeraVe, New Era, AT&T, and Brain Dead, Spotify, among others.

The signing came out of a personal introduction and grew from there. "Matt and I connected immediately on the work we love, on how we think about this industry, on what it actually means to build a career as an editor," said Kevin Clark, Founder and EP of House Post

"We've been working together for a while now and he brings something to a room that's hard to describe and impossible to fake. The creative energy just moves differently when he's around. Bringing him onto the roster felt like the natural next step."

For House Post, the signing reflects a broader commitment to building around artists who share a genuine investment in the work. The company has been intentional about growing its roster around editors, colorists and sound designers whose ambitions align - people drawn to projects that push the craft forward.

"Working with Kevin and the crew at House has been a joy so far and I'm deeply honoured they've invited me to join the team," said Berardi. "Editors draw their ideas from all over, but I think my best work comes out when I'm directly inspired by the folks I get to work next to every day, I feel very lucky to have found these passionate, talented people. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to contribute to what House Post is building."
