The pair's unique backgrounds in editing, ad-creative, still photography and music composition have led to an experimental and dynamic filmmaking style that refuses to be put in a box.
Taking pride in their hands-on approach, the duo always make time in their scripts for emotional rawness, intimacy and the human touch, leading to work that ranges from playful to powerful. Whatever the subject matter, Hot Icarus draw on diverse looks and textures from global youth culture and classic filmmaking, allowing memorable cinematography to coexist with artful imperfections and a wry smile.
Hot Icarus has directed work for some of the world's leading brands, including Adidas, Footlocker, Smirnoff, ebay and Rochambeau.
