Director Paco, “Master of the Weird and Wonderful” brings us another film full of suspense and humor with another unexpected twist.

In Karma, everything can happen when a snifer dog targets a man going through airport security. To get the right tone, the director wanted to shoot in a real a location, a small Airport lost in the 80s. It was important for the director that the location could transmit a unique and distinctive atmosphere, something engaging and specific of those small central American airports. That would set the tone for the rest of the commercial.

The dog, as a key element of the film, needed to be authentic. The director was looking for a real police dog that could provide the intensity of a dog in despair, trying to show that something is wrong.

The leading talent (the man that abandons the dog), needed to be carried by a real actor, someone that could balance the inside conflict (and pain) of someone that abandons an animal, but also the necessary cruelty and indiference. All these elements were critical to build this unique film from production company Major West.
