Harry & David celebrate 90 years of sharing
BluBlu Studios was commissioned to come up with a new character design and create a colourful animation taking place in the heart of Harry & David, in the Bear Creek Orchards.

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of their company, Harry & David decided to bring back their founders to share more about their passion for fruits, baskets, and gifts which have been cheering up households since 1934.
BluBlu Studios was commissioned to come up with a new character design and create a colorful animation taking place in the heart of Harry & David, in the Bear Creek Orchards.
Having been on the market for almost a century, Harry & David established themselves as a luxury gourmet brand that makes beautiful baskets and gifts for every occasion. Their communication relies strongly on their famous eponymous founders. Until now, Harry and David have been predominantly present in the form of old photographs and other archival materials. They wanted to change that, give the founders a new look and the ability to tell their story themselves.

The colourful animation takes us to the idyllic Bear Creek Orchards, where the company was founded. While working on the illustrations, BluBlu focused on the differences between Harry and David to make their personalities even more distinctive. Also, their outfit got a slight upgrade, and now their fashion lands somewhere between the late thirties and today. The style represents a sweet spot between a fun, almost cartoony look, and a professional approach, suitable for a century-old company. Characters are animated in frame-by-frame to make them more vivid and approachable.
The campaign also includes multiple versions, such as :15 shorts and vertical video formats. Along with the animation, BluBlu also prepared illustrations representing Harry and David in different scenarios, these assets can be used across social media, on the website, and in presentations.
