Director Maureen Hufnagel has joined the roster at HAMLET for representation in Belgium, France, China, Germany and the Netherlands.

Based in Buenos Aires and working internationally, Hufnagel’s work blends commercial storytelling with a strong visual sensibility shaped by backgrounds in both advertising and photography. Before moving into directing, she held senior creative roles at agencies including Grey, Saatchi & Saatchi and Young & Rubicam.

Her directing credits include campaigns for HBO Max, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Clarín Económico, Tecate, YPF and streaming platform Flow. Alongside her filmmaking work, she has also exhibited photography internationally, including a solo exhibition at Buenos Aires’ MALBA Museum, and was previously named champion of the Absolute Lomo Competition in London.

Hufnagel’s projects have received recognition at awards including Cannes Lions, Clio, Ciclope Festival, Berlin Commercial Festival and the Diente Awards. In 2025, she was named Best Argentine Director at El Ojo de Iberoamérica and selected as a Film Craft Juror for Cannes Lions 2026.

Jason Felstead, co-founder and executive producer at HAMLET, says: “The industry is evolving very fast and so are the tools we use as filmmakers. But at HAMLET, we still believe the directors who truly stand out are the ones capable of creating a real emotional connection with an audience. That’s what immediately drew me to Maureen’s work.”

Hufnagel adds: “I’m thrilled to join HAMLET because it’s a place where craft and strong visual storytelling really matter, and where I feel I can truly thrive and push my work further.”

Her latest project, a music video-short film for a Korean indie band shot in Mexico, is scheduled for release later this month.
