The independent production company, CMN PPL FLMS are very pleased to announce the signing of Grant Spanier for representation.
Spanier is a director living and working in Los Angeles, CA. The majority of his work began in music videos, photography and creative direction, for artists like Rosalía, Bad Bunny, YG, Lolo Zouaï, Camila Cabello, Olivia Rodrigo, The Avalanches & more.
Spanier continues with stills but has an extensive library of commercial work, including campaigns for Adidas Originals, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Foot Locker, Apple, McDonald's, with Wieden+Kennedy, David Hasselhoff for Happy Socks, and a FW2021 campaign for Reebok shot in Shanghai, China and Seoul, South Korea.
In 2018 he was recognised by Kodak and the International Centre of Photography in New York as one of nine Emerging Analog image-makers worldwide.
Emily Crofton-Atkins, EP at CMN PPL FLMS: “Stunning work; visual, exciting, sensual, cool, what’s not to like! We couldn’t be more excited to start working with him.”
Grant Spanier: “I'm incredibly excited to join the Common People Films diverse roster of talented filmmakers. The quality of both the work and the people is truly fantastic and I couldn't be happier to join a world-class bunch.
I've always had an eye toward the types of films, brands, and collaborators Europe (and especially the UK) has to offer. As a long time appreciator of the British Arrows (attending a screening every year at the Walker Art centre since the early 2010s!) and British sensibilities in general — I've always dreamt of getting the chance to direct those types of commercial scripts.
With global campaign work under my belt and increasingly higher-profile opportunities, it's really the perfect time to join this film family across the pond. We share both an overflowing enthusiasm for filmmaking and a level of taste that will no doubt lead to some lovely work together.”
