Grand Bazar signs director John Larigakis
The Canadian filmmaker joins the roster, bringing a concept-driven approach and a sharp comedic sensibility to commercial work.
Grand Bazar has signed Canadian director and writer John Larigakis for commercial representation, adding a filmmaker whose background in advertising informs every frame he shoots.
After fifteen years on the agency side as an art director then creative director at DDB, Cossette and 123w. Larigakis made the move to directing with a clear vision and a process already fully formed. That foundation shows, his films are as intelligently comic as they are visually striking. Precise, concept-first, and guided by a singular sense of humour, his work finds its strength in the gap between the absurd and the deadpan, the more outlandish the situation, the straighter the face.
His agency career earned him multiple Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils and D&AD Pencils, as well as a spot in Marketing Magazine's Top 30 Under 30. As a director, he has since been recognised at the Berlin Commercial Awards and the Advertising & Design Club of Canada.
