Emmy and Cannes Lions Award-winning music resource Future Perfect has announced the opening of a new studio in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The original composition and music licensing company, which already has locations in Los Angeles and New York, launched the new office this spring to serve the music needs of Detroit-based advertising agencies and to utilize local talent.

Partner, Executive Producer and Detroit native Maxwell Gosling made the announcement, describing the new studio as “a great new venture that fills a crucial role in Detroit’s creative scene”. “Detroit will always be home for me,” Gosling added, “so having a presence there is exciting. When we looked at the city’s fast-paced advertising world and the diverse group of exceptional musicians that live and work there, we realized that we needed to be a link that brings them together.”

Future Perfect has named former Music Producer at Doner Advertising Fabian Halabou, another native of the city, to oversee the new office. “I've always felt that Detroit had the creative talent to support several music providers,” says Halabou, “but few of those collectives have formed here. Either the artists didn't realize it was an option, or couldn't figure out how to break in. When Future Perfect approached me to open up a Detroit studio, I jumped at the chance to team up with them and help grow an already top tier music company.” Halabou’s work at Doner includes campaigns for Chrysler Group, Fiat, JC Penney, Minute Maid, DuPont, and Detroit Zoo.

Future Perfect creates original music for advertising, film, TV, interactive media, and video games, along with full music search and licensing services through sister company, Little Ears. Formed in 2008, Future Perfect and Little Ears have been recognized for their work with global brands and innovative campaigns, including six Cannes Lions and a One Show Gold Pencil for the Skype campaign“Stay Together”, two Emmy Awards for internet sensation "Take This Lollipop" and NHL "No Words", and a Webby for short film "12 Miles North".
