Hoping to answer all of your questions live and in-person, shots' inaugural US Out of the Box event, taking place on 1 May at The Bike Shed, Downtown LA, has announced its day-long line-up... and it's a goodun.
Kicking things off with an in-depth Anatomy of an Ad panel session, the folk behind the Big Game-breaking Michael CeraVe campaign will be talking about how it all came together. Chaired by shots' Jamie Madge, the panel of Avi Steinbach and Alex Holm, Creative Directors at Ogilvy, and Suzanne Hargrove, Vice President/Executive Producer at PRETTYBIRD, will go through the stages required to make some low-key guerilla stunts climax in a globally discussed commercial break.

Above: Oglivy's CeraVe Super Bowl spot, which will be dissected in the day's first session.
Session two is all about putting your technofear in the rearview mirror, as m ss ng p eces founder Ari Kuschnir explores how the digital revolution's capabilities can reflect the core of what it means to be human. Incorporating the impact of AI on our industry, ethical considerations, the essence of human creativity, collaborative potential, and future scenarios, this future-facing interactive presentation will be a unique take on the topic of the moment.
Session three sees a panel discussion featuring heads of production from four of the US' most creative agencies: Diego de la Maza from Deutsch LA, Kati Haberstock from Erich and Kallman, Erin Goodsell from Mother LA, and Anh-Thu Le from TBWA\Chiat\Day. Chaired by CD / director / writer Mario Garza, the panel will discuss, among other things, the impact of AI, the state of the production landscape, and how representation is ensured by the people making the decisions.
Above [L-R]: Suzanne Hargrove, Avi Steinbach, Alex Holm, Ari Kuschnir, Diego de la Maza, Kati Haberstock, Erin Goodsell, Anh-Thu Le, Paul Scheer, Danielle Hinde, and Tom Kuntz.
After a cracking lunch and networking opportunity, it's time for some laughs. Session four sees actor, writer, and award-winning director Paul Scheer dive into his improv roots for Yes, and...; an entertaining talk exploring the power of collaboration in a world of absolutes.
Finishing off the day, MJZ's Tom Kuntz gets sat in the hot seat by Doomsday owner / EP Danielle Hinde, talking through the director's eclectic career to date. Whilst precise details of the session are being kept under wraps, we can only report what Hinde says of the chat: "Things are definitely going to get weird...".
