Explore your story with Coach
The film directed by Marcus Ibanez focuses on the transformative power of storytelling, and stars award-winning actresses Elle Fanning and Storm Reid, and WNBA player Paige Buecker.
The film Explore Your Story is a celebration of storytelling, especially those stories that can shift perspectives, open new paths, and bring communities together.
Shot in London and produced by new—land, the film’s immersive scenes were achieved using in-camera effects. With each turn of a page, Elle Fanning is transported through the vast landscapes of Sense and Sensibility, Storm Reid rides a magic elevator while reading the words of Maya Angelou, and Paige Bueckers finds herself manifesting community with I’ll Give You the Sun.
Coach’s Spring 2026 campaign leans into a global trend that has seen Gen Z turn to reading and storytelling as a tool for self exploration and expression. Partnering with Penguin Random House in the US, the campaign launches a set of readable, minibook charms featuring titles that challenge societal norms, and inspire people to embrace their authentic selves. Many of the titles are currently banned in the US.
“I’m a huge fan of in-camera effects; I have much more control than relying on post production, so we leaned into that. Our set used LED screens with clean plates for animation, then the shifting light, flying pages and magic elevator ride were all achieved using practical effects.” notes Marcus Ibanez, Director at new—land.
“Gen Z is the most avid reading generation to date, and many books about self-expression, courage, and diversity are currently being challenged or banned in the United States due to their content. We saw an opportunity to use the collection and campaign to help ensure these important stories continue to be shared and read.” added Forsman & Bodenfors.
