Created by Arts & Letters, American cable channel espnW's new spot opens with American soccer player Crystal Dunn training, while pregnant with her first child.

In 2021 espnW launched the That’s A W. brand platform that spotlights and elevates all that women in sports achieve every day. The platform, the first brand creative platform for espnW., celebrates the daily victories, personal triumphs, and endless resiliency of women both on and off the field.

The spot goes on to highlight her return to competitive play 3.5 months after giving birth, to join the Thorns in the NWSL playoffs and NWSL Championship, while setting up her place as a member of the 2023 USWNT World Cup team.

This campaign is part of a series highlighting stories of women in sports that may not be as well known to the public or casual sports fans. The three previous spots featured Mikaela Shiffrin, the winningest World Cup alpine skier, University of Florida gymnast Trinity Thomas (who is tied for the most perfect 10 scores in NCAA history) and U Chicago’s men’s soccer head coach Julianne Sitch (the first woman in NCAA history to lead a men's team to a national championship).

These stories celebrate athletes, coaches and women in sport making an impact on and off the pitch/field/court, and inspiring all sports fans and women everywhere.
