Epoch Films signs director Dugan O'Neal for U.S. Representation
Director Dugan O'Neal has signed with bi-coastal production company Epoch Films for commercial representation in the US.
An award-winning commercial, music video and television director/writer, Dugan O’Neal is based in Los Angeles.
His work combines bold, quirky comedy with a deft touch of cinema. Born on the Monterey Peninsula on the central coast of California, Dugan is the son of rock-and-roll photographer Tom Gundelfinger and modern dancer Mollie O’Neal, and the grandson of famed cartoonist Frank O’Neal.
He got his start directing music videos for Ducksauce, HAIM, The Temper Trap, Chromeo, and The Glitch Mob, among many others. He has since helmed campaigns for the likes of Trojan, Belvedere, Bravo, Phillips, Jack Links, McDonald's, KFC and Enterprise.
In the narrative space, Dugan is a writer on the Adult Swim show "Dream Corp LLC"; executive produced by John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant. He is also currently developing an original pilot executive produced by Hiro Murai/Super Frog and is attached to direct a film chronicling the life of Vanilla Ice starring Dave Franco.
Dugan is also currently on the Board of Directors for the non-profit group OMG Cameras Everywhere, started by a group of music video directors focused on teaching children the language of film, and how to make short films.
Dugan said that he is "Over the moon to be joining the Epoch family. Our collective sensibilities, interests and astrological charts are a match made in cinematic heaven."
Epoch Films Executive Producer Melissa Culligan assessed, “I am a huge fan of Dugan personally and professionally. He is a unique talent that fits into the Epoch family perfectly. We are very excited about our collective future.”
Dugan & Epoch are represented in the west by Dexter Randazzo & Jonathan Logan at The Department of Sales; in the east by Tara Averill & John Robertson at Representation; and in the midwest by Chris Brown & Nicole Feddock at Baer Brown Reps.
