Since 2014, Eddy has accompanied up and coming directors to the advertising market, whilst helping them to develop their personal projects.

For Eddy, SIGNATURE  is a crossover that links the company's development slate of music videos and short films with commercial films. Creating a film from an original idea, a vision, in collaboration with an agency has always been our vocation.

The expectation of directors and producers today is that they will evoke a language, an ideal, and accentuate beauty and elegance based on the brand image and the company’s spirit. Working with fiction directors brings the emotional vocabulary of cinema and its power to grasp the imagination ; a connection to the essence of our society that helps us to depict and better understand daily life: our desires, dreams, individual aspirations;
in short - the affective.

Following 6 years developing the live action slate at Eddy, Corry Van Rhijn has created a unique crossover where cinema meets art meets fashion meets advertising.

With the launch of SIGNATURE she seeks “to select only directors with unique visual identities, capable of plunging us into new narrative dimensions. Eddy's development slate thrives on the creatives we source from the milieu of cinema d’auteur, our prevailing influence. We give clients the chance to collaborate with heads of department from fiction backgrounds, convinced that this will breathe new life into the commercials we produce. This is a more widespread practice today, but it wasn't the case at the time. I'm thinking, for instance, of cinematographers like Luis Armando Arteaga, Jonathan Ricquebourg, Pascale Granel, Paul Guillaume and Claire Mathon. Our carefully selected talent roster allows us to approach advertising projects with particular narrative and esthetic boldness. And I believe this is precisely what makes our ‘signature’.”
