One of the most exciting directorial talents to emerge in recent years, Dylan Holmes Williams won the Sundance 2020 Jury Prize for International Fiction for his short film, The Devil’s Harmony.

That short was watched by legendary director M Night Shyamalan who then asked Williams to direct a block of his Apple TV show, Servant. A couple of series later and Williams was selected to direct the relaunch of Doctor Who, starring Ncuti Gatwa and written by Russell T Davies, for BBC and Disney+.

Williams’s first foray into the commercials world, an advert for Wild deodorant through BBH, collected a Gold and Bronze Arrow at the 2023 British Arrows.

Alongside his TV and commercial work Williams is developing feature projects for Working Title, Complete Fiction and Film4.

Dylan Holmes Williams says, “I’m delighted to join the MindsEyeroster. Since getting to know Hughie and the team I’ve seen that it’s a company that has storytelling, creativity and fun at its core and it feels like the ideal fit for me. The directors I’ll be keeping company with are some of my favourites too.”

Hughie Philips MindsEye MD says, “Watching Dylan’s Sundancewinning short, the Devil’s Harmony, it was clear to me that this was an incredibly unique and exciting creative voice at work. I can’t wait to see what we go on to produce together.”
