Dr. Rick offers advice and autographs for Progressive
Spot directed by Martin Granger through Moxie Pictures.
Last fall, homeowners everywhere invited Progressive’s famed Parenta-Life Coach, Dr. Rick into their hearts, homes, and cargo shorts’ pockets with his new book, Dr. Rick Will See You Now: A Guide to Un-Becoming Your Parents.
After selling out in just 5 weeks, the hardcopy book is now being re-released, along with an audiobook version. Despite the strategies, exercises, self-assessments, and good-old fashioned advice this book offers to young homeowners, they still have a long way to go.

Dr. Rick is happy to offer up advice and his signature, as long as they don’t call it a John Hancock, to young homeowners at his book signing in the latest spot from Progressive Insurance and Arnold Worldwide. Despite his best efforts, young homeowners haggle prices, provide refreshments, try to wrangle line and crack dad jokes.
Sean McBride, Arnold CCO said: “Not too long ago, Dr. Rick wrote a book. Okay fine, we wrote the book, but that’s not the point. The point is that the outpouring of love for that book (available now on Amazon) was so overwhelming, we figured having Dr. Rick character go on a book tour in support of his book was a logical next step in the campaign. And while I never actually attended a book signing with my parents, if we had, I have no doubt we would have packed snacks.”
