This poetic spot follows the story of Matteo Simoni, a renowned Belgian actor, who re-discovers his home.

Limburg is a place where the flowers always bloom, and where your friends laugh the loudest. You wouldn’t necessarily think of Belgium as a holiday destination, but in these times, where many people still don’t feel comfortable to travel large distances, Belgium might just be the perfect place.

The creative agency wanted to push the idea that you don’t always have to go far to discover beauty: sometimes it’s right in front of you.

The film begins with a beautiful shot of Matteo in the water, almost lifeless, as if he has lost sight of this beauty right in front of him. Then all of a sudden, he is awakened by the same fact. It starts slow but then rushes through and between beautiful scenic parts of the area. From biking in the lush woods to laying on a boat, cruising through the soft water. We witness some of Limburg’s most iconic places, but also with many more to discover. Everything that you see in this film, makes you want to pack your bag and Reenergize in Limburg.

Filmed with a limited crew - while abiding by the safety measures given by the government - Lieven, as in most of his work, was also the DOP. This gives him a unique take to create a visual story. His craft and his skills in both directing and working behind the camera, are undeniable. It is without a doubt that he is a man with many talents.

This soft spoken, dreamy and poetically soothing spot does justice to Limburg, and CZAR director Lieven Van Baelen was able to create it in a stunning manner.
