Director Deborah Chow has joined The Salmon's ever-expanding creative family.

Known for her exceptional ability to weave character-driven narratives with striking visual flair, Chow's work spans multiple genres and platforms, making her a perfect fit for The Salmon and its creative offerings.

Chow’s impressive directing credits include episodes of critically acclaimed series such as The Mandalorian, Mr. Robot, Better Call Saul, and American Gods. She directed all six episodes of the epic limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi for Lucasfilm, a project which earned her five Emmy nominations. Her recent work includes the VMA-winning rock video "Black Summer" for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a visually captivating commercial for Nissan Rogue.

“We’ve admired Deborah’s work for a long time,” said Adam, co-founder of The Salmon and part of the directing duo Adam & Dave. “From her early short films to her monumental projects in that ‘galaxy far, far away,’ she masterfully balances intricate storytelling with a powerful visual approach.”

“Deborah’s ability to draw out subtle, authentic performances across a diverse range of genres is remarkable,” adds Dave. “Also, she managed to have lunch with us at the top of the CN Tower without making fun of my fear of heights, although I wouldn’t put it past her to have used a Jedi mind trick. But if she did it right, I guess I’ll never know.”

Chow grew up in Toronto and is of Chinese-Australian descent. Her diverse background and experiences have shaped her distinctive vision, earning her recognition as a director in both the film and television industries.
