Following on from his monumental videos for New Rules and IDGAF, Henry Scholfield has created another visual feast for Dua Lipa’s latest single Break My Heart

Taken from her new album Future Nostalgia, Dua wanted to bring forward her single and album release despite the Coronavirus pandemic, stating:

I hope it brings you some happiness, and I hope it makes you smile, and I hope it makes you dance.

Caviar's Scholfield showcases some of his exceptional traits, utilising clever camera trickery, great choreography and perfectly stylised production design to create this epic emotional narrative. We follow Dua on her journey as scenarios materialise and amplify the emotional state, illustrated here through fast-paced transitions and setups, mirroring the heartfelt lyrics.

Scholfield explains: “I wanted to create something that felt like that tumble dryer of emotions when falling for someone who’s pulling away from you. Dua’s perfomance was brilliant (as always!) taking us on her journey from vulnerable to empowered, via her playful cheeky-charming self.”

The video which was shot in Bulgaria uses a colour palette of early Almodóvar mashed up with mid 90s styling via the iridescent surreal-scapes of Japanese love hotels. Production had their work cut out with VFX, choreography, wire work, stunts and a tilting set. The sets were built across 3 stages, and beautifully realised by production designer Mark Connell.
