Renowned DJ Blond:ish (Vivie-Ann Bakos) shares the story of when she fell in love with music and how it lead her to an epiphany to change the electronic music... and the world.
In this sincere profile, Bye Bye Plastic, Mutt’s Jonathan Hyde showcases Bakos initiative to eliminate single-use plastic from the scene by 2025.
Bakos explains the coming of age moment when she realized she had to be the change: After performing at the Warung Beach club in Brazil, the sun began to rise over the hills, and as the people filtered out, all that was left were mountains of plastic water bottles.
Since this moment, Bakos’s life started to revolve not only around music but ending the prevalent issue and encouraging others to evolve together. The film leaves us with the impression that Bye Bye Plastic has already done much to improve the electronic music scene and beyond.
